I just had a very good meeting with CW, who approved some final design decisions and helped with textual questions. He also gave me final words on how to relate the Music Library exhibition to the Houghton exhibition. I will take care of bringing those texts together and having the catalog designer incorporate the materials appropriately. The one issue that remains is a headnote or contextual essay (300-400 words) for the Music Library entries. I notice that several students worked on the labels for the Music Library installation. Will it be possible for one or more of them to get a brief essay to us by Sunday? I have labels for four entries. Is this the extent of the Music Library exhibition? The materials are rather miscellaneous, and a good brief case From dmarnon@fas.harvard.edu Fri Feb 4 14:57:15 2000 Received: from smtp3.fas.harvard.edu (IDENT:root@smtp3.fas.harvard.edu [140.247.30.83]) by hcs.harvard.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id OAA05231 for ; Fri, 4 Feb 2000 14:57:14 -0500 (EST) Received: from is07.fas.harvard.edu (IDENT:dmarnon@is07.fas.harvard.edu [140.247.30.107]) by smtp3.fas.ha rvard.edu with ESMTP id OAA30168 Received: by is07.fas.harvard.edu with ESMTP id OAA12788 Date: Fri, 4 Feb 2000 14:57:06 -0500 (EST) From: Dennis Marnon To: Jennifer Lee cc: myke cuthbert Subject: Re: Revised Full Text -- Bach Exhibition In-Reply-To: Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Status: RO Content-Length: 3254 Lines: 95 and explaining that this is a course project? --Editing points: 1. consistency of bibliographic entries, esp for publishers in printed books and descriptions of the number of leaves for manuscript items. 2. form of headings for authors (dates in parens or brackets, periods at end of entries, etc). 3. form of authors' names --We need the canon solution. --Bibliographic citation of p. 10? --Do we have all the private items from CW? --How do we want to present the Map entries?
